On the occasion of birth anniversary of Makhanlal Chaturvedi a seminar on the topic “Challenges before the National Security” was organized by Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCNUJC) at Samanvay Bhawan on 4th april 2010.
The propitious occasion witnessed the presence of many dignitaries. Among whom where the Rt. Lt. General S. K. Sinha, finance minister of M.P government Raghavji, chief information commissioner P. P. Tiwari, Secretary and commissioner Public Relations of M.P government Manoj Srivastav and the V.C of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication B. K. Kuthiyala.
In the program Rt. Lt. General Sinha said that “today India has got double threat to its security. One is from the external powers like China and Pakistan. While the other threat is, internal one of naxalism.” He also coated Makhanlal Chaturvedi to be an excellent journalist and editor of his time.
While the finance minister of the state Raghavji said that “India is surrounded with lots of problems. It is the predicament that today those country have become threat to the nation which were its part in past. To come up from this problem we need to create awareness and motivation among people.”
The P.R Secretary Manoj Srivastav said “India is a democratic country and it should take its security issues very seriously. The sense of false security should not be created.” According to information commissioner P.P. Tiwari “many times in history we have faced many challenge but very bravely we fought with them. We were, we are and we will always be what we are. And today also we will withstand all our problems.
In the end an interactive question answer session was held to clarify the doubts of the student. The program was hosted by Rakhi Tiwari prof. Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication.
